Hill of Glaschyle
Hill of Glaschyle is Muirden Energy’s largest project to date, and is a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the Logie Estate. The wind farm, located near Forres, Moray, comprises twelve Enercon E-70 turbines with a total generating capacity of 27.6MW. This is enough clean electricity to supply 10,000 average households. Work on Hill of Glaschyle started in late 2015 and the wind farm became fully operational in March 2017.
The wind farm has been constructed around the southerly edge of The Hill of Glaschyle, with striking views over the Moray Firth to the north and the Cairngorm National Park to the south. A network of wind farm tracks have been built which are open for the public to visit and use.
The civil Balance of Plant was undertaken by RJ McLeod (Contractors) Ltd while the electricals contract was completed by Powersystems UK Ltd.

Brownieleys
Brownieleys is a three turbine cluster near Fordoun, Laurencekirk. The site, comprising of three Enercon E-82 turbines, became operational in February 2017. Brownieleys features a complex Transmission Grid Intertrip, to ensure compliance with wider transmission restraints. Brownieleys was a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner and was later sold to ACP Scot Wind LLP. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.
Where possible Muirden Energy endeavours to support local contractors. At this site, Geddes Contractors undertook the access and civils, with Bryan J Rendall (Electrical) Ltd undertaking the Electrical Balance of Plant on the wind farm.

Mains of Melrose
Mains of Melrose is a single Enercon E-44 located in Gamrie, near Macduff, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 8th August 2016 and was a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowners. It was later sold to Resonance Asset Management Ltd. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, JKR Contractors were employed as the civils contractor and Prelec Ltd as the electricals contractor.

Dendoldrum
Dendoldrum is a single Enercon E-48 located near Inverbervie, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 8th August 2016. The project is a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, JKR was the civils contractor, with PRELEC as the electricals contractor.

Denmoss
Denmoss is a single Enercon E-48 located near Largue, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 30th June 2016 after a six month construction period. It was later sold to Broadview.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Davidson Plant Hire was the civils contractor with Bryan J Rendall Electrical as the electrical contractors and Seivwright Bros Ltd undertaking all offsite road works.

Braeside
Braeside is a single Enercon E-48 located near Fordyce, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 23rd September 2016, after a six month construction period.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Davidson Plant Hire was the civils contractor, McKenzie Electrical Solutions as the electricals contractor and Seivwrights Bros Ltd carried out all of the offsite roadworks.

Nether Darley
Nether Darley is a single Enercon E-48 located near Fyvie, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 25th August 2016. Nether Darley is a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Davidson Plant Hire was the civils contractor with McKenzie Electrical Solutions as the electricals contractor.

Culvie Hill
Culvie Hill is a single Enercon E-48 located adjacent to our Newton of Culvie Project near Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 21st September 2016 after a six month construction period. This site was later sold to Resonance Asset Management Ltd. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Davidson Plant Hire was the civils contractor, Prelec Ltd as the electricals contractor and Seivwright Bros Ltd carried out all of the offsite roadworks.

Newton of Culvie
Newton of Culvie is a single Enercon E-48 located near Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 22nd September 2015 after a six month construction period. The site was a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner. This site was later sold to Resonance Asset Management Ltd. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Scotplant (Hire) Ltd was the civils contractor with Prelec Ltd as the electricals contractor.

Ashogle
Ashogle is a single Enercon E-48 neighbouring Muirden Farm, home to Muirden Energy’s Turriff office. The turbine became operational on 22nd September 2015. It is located on land owned by Fred Duncan and generates all the electricity for the farm and the Muirden Energy offices.

Auchinderran
Auchinderran is a cluster of three Enercon E-48s near Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire. The cluster became operational on 26th March 2015. The project is a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, WL Greig & Son was the civils contractor with Prelec Ltd as the electricals contractor.

Mains of Kinmuck
Mains of Kinmuck is a single Enercon E-48 located near Ellon, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 24th September 2015. Mains of Kinmuck is a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner.

Culbirnie Parks
Culbirnie Parks is the site of two Enercon E-48s, located outside Banff, Aberdeenshire. The turbines became operational on the 12th December 2014 and the site was sold to Wind Energy Renewables LLP in December 2016.

At this site, Davidson Plant Hire was the civils contractor with road widening completed by Sievwright Bros. McKenzie Electrical Solutions was the electricals contractor.

Strath of Brydock
Strath of Brydock is a cluster of three Enercon E-70s located near Banff, Aberdeenshire. The site became operational in 2009 and was sold to Resonance Asset Management in April 2013.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. Davidson Plant Hire, based at Turriff, completed the crane hardstanding and road improvements, with concrete supplied by Lovie Ltd.

Mains of Whitefield
Mains of Whitefield is the site of a single Enercon E-48, located near Turriff, Aberdeenshire. It is owned by Muirden Energy partner, Dave Green. The turbine became operational on the 19th March 2015

Craig Garbill
Craig Garbill is a single Enercon E-48 located near Inverbervie, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on the 28th November 2014 and was sold to Wind Energy Renewables LLP in December 2016.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. At this site, Whitefield Contracting Ltd was the civils contractor with McKenzie Electrical Solutions as the electricals contractor.

Newton of Fortrie
Newton of Fortrie is a cluster of three Enercon E-70s located near Auchterless, Aberdeenshire. The site became operational in March 2013 and was sold to Resonance Asset Management in June 2014.
Where possible, Muirden Energy endeavours to support the local economy at our turbine sites by using locally sourced contractors. Davidson Plant Hire was appointed the civils contractor and Prelec Ltd was the electricals contractor. Lovie Ltd provided the concrete for the crane hardstanding.

Little Whiterashes is a single Enercon E-48 located near Turriff, Aberdeenshire. The turbine was a joint venture between Muirden Energy and the landowner. The turbine became operational on 10th December 2014 and was later sold to Resonance Asset Management Ltd. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.

North Lothian is a single Enercon E-48 located near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. The turbine became operational on 22nd September 2015 and was later sold.

The turbine became operational on 22nd September 2015 and was later sold to Resonance Asset Management Ltd. We continue to provide them with an Operational Asset Management service for this turbine.
